Napoli Bayern Munich Live Stream Team News Champions League Bets as Robben misses out

The top two in Champions League Group A go head-to-head this evening, with Bayern Munich hoping to maintain their winning start with a trip to Napoli.

Two victories from two – including the excellent 2-0 win over Barclays Premier League leaders Manchester City – see the German giants with a comfortable two-point cushion but with City sure to push them hard at the top of the group, Bayern will be keen to get enough points to see them qualify as soon as possible.

But any tie away in Italy is a tough assignment and Napoli have started well in Europe – gaining a hard-earned point in Manchester and defeating Villarreal 2-0 last time out.

Domestically, after losing their first game in the Bundesliga this season, Bayern have been in a ruthless mood, dropping only two points in the last eight games.

In Serie A, Napoli are currently two points behind league leaders Juventus and would be topping the table if they hadn’t recorded their first loss of the campaign against Parma on Saturday.

Walter Mazzarri’s side finished third last year and have shown that they are capable of challenging for the title again with impressive wins against both Milan sides.

Coach Mazzarri fielded a full-strength team for the 2-1 Serie A loss against Parma at the weekend and is likely to stick with that XI for tomorrow’s encounter.

Napoli will, however, have to do without new arrivals Miguel Britos, Marco Donadel and Goran Pandev who are on the sidelines through injury.

For the Germans, the big name absentee is Arjen Robben who has a slight knock. But coach Jupp Heynckes is expected to welcome back Luiz Gustavo into the starting line-up and this is a significant boost for the visitors.

The action gets underway at 19:45 this evening and it promises to be a fascinating night of European football.
