Tottenham Rubin Kazan Europa League Team News Live Stream as Spurs look for win

Tottenham go into tonight’s Europa League clash with Rubin Kazan hoping to maintain their current run of good form.

Boss Harry Redknapp is sure to make changes to his line-up as is now customary for this competition, but Spurs have a squad rich in talent and any side they put out should be well capable of beating the Russian outfit.

The North London club are unbeaten in eight matches and after losing their first two Barclays Premier League matches follwing an unsettled summer – when star midfielder Luka Modric was courted by Chelsea – and they will be pleased have got the feel-good factor back at White Hart Lane.

Tomorrow’s encounter sees the top two in Europa League Group A go head-to-head with both clubs securing a win and a draw from their first two matches.

The Tatarstan club have been more used to playing in the Champions League group stages in recent years but missed out for this campaign with a defeat to Lyon in the play-offs.

They are a surprising 6th in the Russian Premier League but Tottenham will underestimate them at their peril. It is likely that Rubin will be their closest challengers at the top of the group.

The Spurs backline will have to be on their guard as Rubin’s forwards are likely to provide a big threat this evening.

Obafemi Martins – who will be well known to the White Hart Lane faithful after spells at Newcastle and Birmingham City – along with Paraguayan Nelson Haedo Valdez are capable of scoring plenty of goals and in midfield, Brazilian Carlos Eduardo is one to watch out for.

Eduardo was well thought of at Hoffenheim and surprised many by choosing to go to Russia when some of Europe’s bigger clubs were showing an interest.

The action gets underway at 20:05 this evening and it promises to be an intriguing contest. With Spurs set to make changes, a score draw might be on the cards.
