West Bromwich Albion vs. Manchester City – 3 Players to win you money

West Brom vs Man City
Stadium: The Hawthorns
Kick Off: 20.00
Monday 10th August

Tony Pulis will start his first full season with West Brom looking for a top half finish. The former Stoke City boss had an excellent impact when was appointed manager in January of this year. The big news going in to the new season is that The Baggies have managed to keep a hold of Saido Berahino, so far at least. The exciting talent was magnificent last season scoring 14 goals and Pulis will look for him to take the next step in his development.
New signings include Irish international James McClean from Wigan Athletic, Rickie Lambert from Liverpool and Serge Gnabry on loan from Arsenal. Tony Pulis also signed James Chester for nearly £8 million from relegated Hull City. They could all make their debuts this evening.

Team News: Ben Foster remains out with a knee injury, while Joleon Lescott and Gareth McAuley will face late fitness test.

Manuel Pellegrini has been awarded a new contract before the season has even begun and he also promised to regain the Premier League trophy. Last season fizzled out earlier than expected after so many poor defensive performances but the Chilean will be looking to correct that this season. Man City have been the top scores in both seasons with Pellegrini in charge so scoring goals are not the problem.

Raheem Sterling was the huge summer buy in Europe this season and he will look to hit the ground running at the Etihad this season. Also joining the young Englishman is international team mate Fabian Delph who has jumped ship from Aston Villa. Young central defender Jason Denayer is also part of the squad after his loan spell at Celtic.
This current Man City squad is very thin to compete in all the competitions.

James Milner left for pastures new and Edin Dzeko is close to a move to Roma. Stevan Jovetic has also opted for a move back to Italy with Inter Milan. The window remains open however should Manuel Pellegrini spot new talent.

Team News: Gael Clichy and Fabian Delph are ruled out with ankle and hamstring injuries respectively. Pablo Zabaleta, Samir Nasri, Sergio Aguero and Martin Demichelis all face fitness test.

Players to watch:
Sergio Aguero:

The Argentinean goal machine should always be the one to watch for any team. Last season he proved yet again that he is the best striker in England and he will aim to top the scoring charts again this season. He was the Premier League top marksmen last term with 26 goals and also bagged 10 assists. He will look to start this campaign on fire after a poor Copa America personally.

Saido Berahino:

The Englishman is full of pace, tricky and is superb at going in behind defenders. If the Baggies are to score tonight well then Saido will most definitely be involved. What’s key for Pulis is the link up between Saido and new signing Rickie Lambert, it could be an excellent partnership. The Nigerian born striker hit the net 14 last season and will look to build on that this term.

Wilfried Bony:
The Ivory Coast international will have a big season on his hands if Man City are to claim any silverware. Signed in January of this year, people asked where will he fit in and was it just a money move? But fast forward to 8 months later and he is 1 of 2 recognised strikers in the squad. Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic have both left the clubs so there is no doubt that Bony will get a lot more game time. Put the ball in the box and let calm prowess of Bony do the rest.
