QPR Chelsea Team News as Villas Boas bets on Sturridge to fire goals

Chelsea will look to continue their fine form when they make the short journey across West London to neighbours Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.

The Blues are unbeaten in six matches – winning five of them – and confidence will be high after they thrashed Genk 5-0 in the Champions League in midweek.

Paddy Power have been in touch to tell us they are offering free bets worth £100 exclusive to all SqueakyBumTime visitors to spend on any game this Sunday, including all the action at Loftus Road! Pick up this great offer here!

But they won’t take QPR lightly – after all, this is Rangers’ big grudge match of the season and Chelsea are set to recall John Terry, Juan Mata, Didier Drogba and Daniel Sturridge after they were rested for the Genk contest.

They will have to make do without the in-form Fernando Torres, however, while he completes his three-game domestic ban, while much-improved midfielder Ramires is ruled out with a knee injury.

For the home side, defender Danny Gabbidon will miss out with a knee injury, while Matt Connolly is rated as a 50-50 shout for the weekend encounter.

Up front, in what some may see as a surprising move, Heidar Helguson is again likely to be preferred to Jay Bothroyd, while Adel Taarabt should be available suffering from a virus this week.

Rangers boss Neil Warnock will be hoping for a special showing from his team after an inconsistent start to the season and where better to showcase your talents than in front of the TV cameras against your London rivals?

In mid-September, the Hoops were very impressive as they swept aside Wolves at Molineux but they have recorded two home draws since then, as well as that 6-0 horror defeat at fellow West Londoners Fulham.

But Warnock will have no problem motivating his team for the visit of Chelsea and it promises to be some atmosphere inside Loftus Road for the 16:00 kick-off. With the United v City clash preceding it, it looks set to be a ding-dong day of derbies in the Barclays Premier League this Sunday.
