England’s unbeaten run will truly be tested this Friday night when they take on Spain at Estadio Jose Rico Perez, Alicante as popular brand Paddy Power announce they are offering the Three Lions at a price of 16/1.
That price is sure to get punters and fans frothing at the mouth, with England available to be backed at 7/2 elsewhere.
More details below:
The Three Lions are in Spain at the moment and are preparing to lock horns with Vicente del Bosque’s Spanish side. England have not tasted defeat in their last 15 games, and their last defeat came 17 months ago in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The visitors are going in this game on the back of a perfect Euro 2016 qualifying campaign after winning all 10 of their games and topping their group.
However, England will take on La Roja without their captain and record goalscorer, Wayne Rooney.
The Manchester United captain will be rested for the game as boss, Roy Hodgson plan to experiment and give chance to youngsters in order to maximize their preparations for the Euro 2016. Jamie Vardy, who has been in brilliant form for his club in the Premier League this season, faces an uphill battle to be fit for the game after receiving a knock.
In his absence, Hodgson will have only Harry Kane as a central striker for the game and he could use Ross Barkley in the number 10 role for the match.
Spain have recalled Chelsea’s Diego Costa for the game who has scored just once for La Roja since choosing to play for them over his native Brazil.
David Silva is also unavailable because of an injury, which will provide Manchester United’s Juan Mata a chance to play behind the striker in number 10 position, and impress the bosses.
