Napoli Juventus Live Stream as Del Piero odds on to start

With Juventus still flying high after their 2-1 win over Inter Milan last week,  title contenders Napoli will be looking to bring the rejuvenated giant of Italian football down to earth by claiming all three points.

Juve moved to the top of the table thanks to the win over Claudio Ranieri’s side and with it extended their unbeaten start to the season, and boss Antonio Conte will be looking to notch up another win against big name opposition when they travel to Naples this weekend.

Conte will have to make a decision over whether to bring Juve icon Alessandro Del Piero back into the fold after dropping the forward for the last six games, a move that would be immensely popular with the club’s fans.

Napoli meanwhile continue to stay in touch with the league leaders despite their inconsistencies, but may be hindered having played in the champions league during mid-week. They sit five points behind their rivals in fifth on 14 points, and a home win would certainly put the cat amongst the pigeons in the early championship race.

Napoli’s defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich could give Juve the advantage for the game at the Stadio San Paolo, at least according to former Napoli defender Giuseppe Bruscolotti.

“The timing is undoubtedly favourable to Juventus, because not being involved in a European competition, they had a full week to prepare for this important match on Sunday,” the 60-year-old told Italy.

“On the other hand, Napoli were playing in a important match against a great team like Bayern Munich in the Champions League and had to spend a significant amount of physical and mental energy.”

The hosts will look to the goals of striker Edison Cavani, who claimed a hat-trick the last time the two sides met, although his recent run of five games without a goal would have been a case for concern  as Napoli attempt to extend their record unbeaten streak against Juve to five games this weekend.
