Leeds Utd take on West Ham at Elland Road tonight in a game which kicks off the Premier League weekend. With both these sides having mixed results coming into the game we could potentially see a hatful of goals.
Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds side have had a tough few games to contend with recently, facing Chelsea, Everton and Arsenal in their last three outings. The Lilywhites played out a goaless draw with Arsenal, managed an impressive win away at Everton while last time out succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge against Frank Lampard’s blues.
The arrival of West Ham tonight should prove to be a slightly easier fixture to contend with, however David Moyes’s side have been raising a few eyebrows recently with some improved performances. A loss against Manchester Utd in their last game will not have come as a big surprise, however that came after three straight wins.
The Hammers disposed of Aston Villa, Sheffield Utd and Fulham, and although Leeds will see themselves as a side playing above that bracket at the moment West Ham look a difficult opponent at the time of writing.
Scoring should not be a problem for West Ham, with the side finding the net in their last 10 games in the Premier League.
Leeds v West Ham Betting Tips
Elland Road has been something of a fortress in years gone by, but its a whole different atmosphere without the fans. The Hammers have looked dangerous going forward in recent games, and the 9/4 on offer for the away win certainly appeals.
Bielsa’s side have found things a little tough at Elland Road, with only one win at home all season.
The arrival of an established Premier League club such as West Ham may prove to be a little too much to ask for the Lilywhites tonight, in what should be an entertaining encounter.
