Wilson Palacios has called upon Stoke boss Tony Pulis to give him a chance when the Potters take on Blackburn this Saturday, as Bet365 announce a new free bets offer on the weekend Premiership.
The Honduran midfielder has rarely featured since making the switch from Tottenham over the summer having only recently recovered from a debilitating knee injury that has tarnished his short career at the Britannia Stadium so far.
While Pulis has used him for both Stoke’s Carling Cup and Europa League campaigns, Palacios has registered only 38 minutes of action in the Premier League, all as a substitute, and now the 27-year-old has overcome his injury he is raring to go.
“I am 100 per cent fit and at the manager’s disposal, but it is up to Tony Pulis to put me in the team,” said Palacios.
“I am happy at Stoke. I came here with a bad injury, but now I’m ready to play.” He added.
Palacios may get his shot against a Blackburn side that appears destine for relegation this season as fan protests continued against boss Steve Kean during the 3-3 draw with Wigan last weekend.
Despite the clear disapproval from the fans, club owners Venky’s, have offered Kean improved terms on his current deal this week, much to the outrage of the Ewood Park faithful.
With so much distraction off the pitch it comes as no surprise that Rovers have recorded just one victory in the Premier League this season, and Stoke will be looking to add to their misery with a win this season that would give their league campaign the shot in the arm it so desperately needs.
Their European campaign appears to have had a negative effect on their league form, and with the Potters uncharacteristically struggling in 14th having established themselves as one of the more difficult sides to beat in the league, Pulis may call upon Palacios to inject some drive and claim maximum points on Saturday.
