Ahead of taking his team to Fulham in this week’s Monday Night Football, Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has revealed that he is tempted to play Maxi Rodriguez in every single game as Ladbrokes report a free bets offer on tonight’s football.
The Argentinean winger has not been a regular starter for the Reds this season, but when called upon, he often does the business. For example, he has scored 10 goals in his last nine starts for the club.
Ladbrokes have been in touch to tell us they will offer a free £50 to all SqueakyBumTime visitors to spend on any game this week, including Champions League or all the action from Craven Cottage tonight! Claim your exclusive free £50 bet here!
This included a hat-trick against tonight’s opponents Fulham towards the end of last season and Dalglish admits that he is always tempted to bring the former Atlético Madrid man into the starting line-up.
The Reds boss said: “I’m tempted to play Maxi in every game. He has a fantastic recent goalscoring record. He is an intelligent footballer and he must have been some player five years ago when he was in his prime.”
“He might be getting a bit towards my age now but he is still a clever player. He knows how to play and he knows how to finish. Maxi’s just an intelligent footballer who understands the game on and off the pitch. The same as everybody should do.”
Whether this means that Maxi starts this evening remains to be seen. Dalglish will have to make one change though with Lucas out for the season. With Steven Gerrard also out, Jay Spearing is the favourite to come into the starting line-up.
As for Fulham, they have found goals hard to come by this season and will be looking to put this right against Liverpool.
They have had their moments at home this year – the 6-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers for example – but they definitely need to be more consistent if they are to pull away from the relegation zone.
Overall, Liverpool are without doubt the team to beat in this one, but they have been known to drop points against teams in the bottom-half, so Fulham will look to take the game to them and get a positive result.
This Monday Night Football fixture gets underway at 8pm this evening.
