Tottenham travel to Swansea with team news and free bets as Gareth Bale relishing prospect

Gareth Bale has admitted he is slightly nervous ahead of Tottenham’s trip to his home country to face Swansea on New Year’s Eve as Paddy Power and Ladbrokes  make Spurs favourites across the board in the football betting odds.

Bale was in fine form as he bagged a brace in the 2-0 win over Norwich on Tuesday to help Spurs consolidate 3rd place in the league as those around them slipped up, and now the Welshman is hoping for much of the same as he returns home to play against the first ever Welsh side to grace the Premier League.

Paddy Power will offer free bets worth £100 to all new customers to celebrate the New Year football! There’s plenty to get stuck in to today and tomorrow so why not kick off the New Year with a free bet! Be quick – limited availability!

Bale was on the receiving end of some abuse from Norwich fans at Carrow Road but was able to silence the crowd with his goal scoring exploits, and the 22-year-old is hoping for a different kind of atmosphere at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.

It will be a good experience,’’ the former Southampton man said.

“Hopefully I’ll get a good reception! I’ve played at the Liberty Stadium a few times for Wales and it’s a great stadium.

“Swansea play some great football, everybody knows what kind of football they’re playing, and we know it’s going to be a hard game.’’ He added.

Tottenham go into the game knowing that only three points will be enough if they are to maintain the gap between them and the chasing pack in the race for a top four spot going into 2012, and manager Harry Redknapp has no new injury worries to concern him.

Ledley King was rested for the win against Norwich but may step back into the side in place of either William Gallas or Younes Kaboul, while Emmanuel Adebayor should be fit to play having pulled up with an apperent hamstring complaint in the second half at Carrow Road.

Swansea meanwhile will be without on-loan defender Steven Caulker who is ineligible to face his parent club, while Angel Rangel is a doubt having limped off in the 1-1 draw with QPR on Tuesday.
