Liverpool ready to raid Kaka from Real Madrid to fill Suarez suspension

Liverpool are rumoured to be reading a monster bid for out of favour Real Madrid star Kaka to fill the void left by Luis’s Suárez’s suspension.

The Uruguayan international is about to serve an eight-match ban for a racist attack on Manchester United defender and manager Kenny Dalglish is keen to add more firepower and creativity to his squad, who have only scored 24 goals in 20 league games this season – five of them scored by Suárez.

And the former Ballon d’Or winner is a player that allegedly Dalglish will fight tooth and nail to sign.

Kaka has endured a torrid time since moving to Spain from AC Milan in a massive €56m deal. A loss of form, triggered by various injuries and a lack of first-team football have dropped the Brazilian star down the pecking order at the Santiago Bernabeu, especially with the form of Mesut Ozil and the insatiable Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, when given a chance this season the Brazilian has showed that he can still cut the mustard at the pinnacle of world football, bagging four goals from only a handful of starts and generally giving the impression that there is life left in the 29-year-old yet.

Liverpool are keen to give the man, who tormented them in the 2007 Champions League final where he assisted both of Filippo Inzaghi’s goals in the 2-1 win, the chance to rebuild a career that has rather gone stale since his move to Madrid.

He won’t come cheap however; sources around Spain are quoting that Madrid are aware that they won’t recoup the £56m they paid for him, but still want to hold out for at least £20m. But Liverpool aren’t afraid to splash big transfer fees, and may make their move for the talented midfielder sooner rather than later.
