Gijon v Osasuna 11:00 Sun
With Villarreal and Racing Santander both facing tough fixtures against Sevilla and Levante, respectively, Saturday presents a good opportunity with Bet365 for Sporting Gijon to claw back a place in the Primera Liga and get one step closer to making their way out of their current relegation mess.
The 19th placed side haven’t continued the way they would have liked to after beating Malaga at home two and a half weeks ago, slipping to consecutive away defeats against Villarreal and Real Sociedad.
However, Sporting will be keen to turn his side’s luck around on Sunday and ascending into 18th spot (should Villarreal lose at Sevilla) would certainly go a long way to doing just that.
That being said, José Luis Mendilibar will have an objection to that as his Osasuna side have the chance to go from 10th to 6th with a win over Gijon, permitting that several results go in their favour also.
Osasuna have looked more impressive away from home than at their ground of late, losing three on the bounce at the Reyno de Navarra over the past three weeks.
With this in mind, Mendilibar will feel confident that his side are capable of walking away from Osasuna with three points in hand and that much closer to attaining a European spot at season’s end.
