Zaragoza Rayo Vallecano 18:45 Sun
Although Rayo Vallecano haven’t had the best run of result over the past three weeks, the 15th placed Vallecanos are favourites with Bet365 as they travel to La Romerada this weekend where they will take on bottom of the table Real Zaragoza.
The duo ran outa fairly non-spectacular 0-0 draw in the reverse fixture earlier in the season typical of two sides whose main objective is top flight survival.
Zaragoza currently boast La Liga’s worst home defence and haven’t won a game in their last 13 outings.
Rayo haven’t fared too much better but have surprisingly looked better away from home this season than playing at the Campo de fútbol de Vallecas.
With a win at last-placed Zaragoza on Sunday, Rayo Vallecano can make the jump from 15th to 12th and José Râmon Sandoval’s side will be that closer to securing a second consecutive season in the Primera Division.
Despite their awful home record, Real Zaragoza remain as favourites to win this bottom half clash and while it’s impossible for them to move off of the foot of La Liga even with a home victory, the result is a good chance to save their season against a promoted side equally as desperate not to lose.
Surprisingly, attack hasn’t been an issue for Rayo, who are actually the sixth top scorers in Spain’s first division and depending on tactics for the game ahead, could run out easy winner against a vulnerable side.
