Fulham v Stoke 15:00 Sat
With the league’s fifth best home form based on the last six games, Fulham will be hoping to make a significant jump up to mid-table with a win over Stoke City, who are long odds to win with Ladbrokes on Saturday.
The West London outfit have won four of their last six games at Craven Cottage and will pose a particular challenge for Tony Pulis’ Stoke who haven’t looked too shabby on the road of late.
In their last six league fixtures away from the Brittania Stadium, the Potters have won three and drawn one; not a bad string of performances considering the side are normally known for their strong home form but not so strong away form.
Also, when you consider that the two losses in that run came against league leaders Manchester United and Manchester City, the statistics begin to look even more impressive.
Fulham appeared to be lacking an offensive edge in their 1-1 draw against West Brom last weekend and will be happy to welcome Orlando Sã back into the fold following a short injury.
Another face Martin Jol will be happy to see is January signing Pavel Pogrebnyak who, after a short spell trying to acquire a work permit after his move from Stuttgart, is finally cleared to play in England and is in with a shout of starting.
If Jol decides to start the Russian international on the bench, Clint Dempsey will be expected to start in the unnatural position of striker, helped out by the recently returned Moussa Dembelé.
Although the Potters can be glad that Cameron Jerome is likely to come back from injury, the absence of Robert Huth could prove a costly one.
