Everton Blackpool Team News Free Bets as Holloway looks for FA Cup shock at Goodison

Neutrals can hope to see at least one goalfest on Saturday with Blackpool long odds with Ladbrokes as Neil Holloway and his side travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton as part of the FA Cup fifth round.

The duo clashed twice last season in Blackpool sporadic season in the English top flight and recorded a total of twelve goals between the two fixtures.

The Tangerines managed to squeeze out a 2-2 draw when they hosted the Toffees at Bloomfield Road, however it was the reverse fixture in Merseyside that produced the real entertainment when David Moyes’ side came out as 5-3 victors.

Ladbrokes will offer free bets worth £50/€50 to spend on any fixture this weekend, including the FA Cup. Exclusive to SqueakyBumTime.com

With this kind of record, one can only hope that similar sense prevails and another fixture producing at least four goals is the product.

Everton have found it hard to notch up their goal tally in the Premier League this season, scoring two goals or more in just six of their league fixtures but David Moyes’s side should be in good spirit as they welcome Neil Holloway’s Tangerines after a  2-0 victory over Chelsea last week.

In addition, the chance to go up against Championship opposition will only boost the confidence of the boys in blue and the top flight hosts can feel that FA Cup progression is a real possibility.

The club are enjoying a six-match unbeaten streak at the moment but could face a tough 90 minutes on Saturday when they strive to defend against the second best attacking team in the Championship.

Much of that statistic is down to the away form of Ian Holloway’s outfit and Everton stopper will find it hard to keep a clean sheet this weekend as he faces a side who have averaged 1.69 goals per game when performing away from home this season.

That being said, Blackpool have leaked goals this term and have the third worst away defence in the Championship.

David Moyes will be tested in the fixture however with Nikica Jelavic, Phil Jagielka, Seamus Coleman and Jack Rodwell all likely to miss the match through injury.

Landon Donavan has returned to the USA after a fruitful spell on loan at the club, while new loan signing Steve Pienaar, who impressed against Chelsea last week is ineligible after being cup-tied with Tottenham.

Ian Holloway has no major injury concerns, and could play two up front with Gary Taylor-Fletcher called in to partner the evergreen Kevin Phillips in attack, and with around eight thousand Tangerine fans heading to Merseyside for the tie it should be a cracking spectacle of FA Cup football.
