Sources close to SqueakyBumTime have revealed that Kalou’s agent has spoken with Serie A giants AC Milan and Juventus along with Tottenham Hotspur regarding a move in the summer.
The Ivorian midfielder has decided not to renew his contract in West London and will leave upon it’s expiration in June ending his eight-year association with Chelsea.
Brought to the club by Jose Mourinho from Eredivisie side Feyenoord in 2006 the 26-year-old has had a mixed time on Kings Road and has never managed to nail down a first team place under seven different managers.
Despite most of his game time coming from the bench the winger has still managed to clock up 252 appearances in Chelsea blue scoring 60 goals in the process.
But with owner Roman Abramovich planning a summer spending spree Kalou has decided it’s time for a fresh start and could remain in the Premier League should he choose to join Spurs with Harry Redknapp keen to bring to White Hart Lane.
One player that looks set to stay however is David Luiz after Abramovich turned down a bid from Barcelona who Chelsea beat in the Champions League semi-final last week.
New Catalan coach Tito Vilanova, who will replace Pep Guardiola at the end of the current campaign, is anxious to beef up his defensive options after seeing rivals Real Madrid steal their La Liga crown at the weekend.
Vilanova has identified Luiz as the man to strengthen his back line and eventually succeed captain Carles Puyol who turned 34 last month.
However he looks set to miss out on the Brazilian after the Blues rejected an initial bid for the 25-year-old who has become a key player since signing from Benfica in January 2011.
