Denmark v Portugal Odds : Ronaldo to shine for Bento in vital Euro 2012 clash

Wednesday evening sees Portugal and Denmark go head to head in what could be an extremely significant match in Group B as William Hill announce a free bets offer and make the Danes long odds to shock Ronaldo and co.

Looking at Denmark to begin with, they had a sensational victory against Holland in their last match. Although they rode their luck at times, nothing should be taken away from them getting a superb three points.

Morten Olsen’s men can now take a huge amount of confidence into this match and know that on their day they are capable of beating anyone.

William Hill will offer free bets worth £25/€25 to spend on any Euro 2012 market, including any of this week’s games! Exclusive to SqueakyBumTime.com

It was a fantastic finish from Michael Krohn-Dehli to secure the win and after a poor season for his club side where he scored just five goals in the league, he can now have high hopes of a decent run in front of goal.

The Danes are certainly not a team to be written off in the tournament, they are a well organised outfit and have players capable of real quality in the final third. With the pressure now on them though, it will be a big test of their ability to deliver when expectations are high.

As for Portugal, they could really struggle in this tough group, especially after losing 1-0 to Germany in their opening fixture.

A win here is vital, however it is difficult to see where that is coming from as they have failed to pick up a victory in four attempts.

They will also be aware that Denmark finished above them in qualifying for Euro 2012 so know how to beat them.

It is not all doom and gloom for Paulo Bento’s men though as you can never write off a team that has Cristiano Ronaldo at their disposal.

Although the rest of the team have to step up because at the moment it seems to be if you stop Ronaldo, you stop Portugal’s chances of scoring. Bento continues to play his 4-3-3 formation, but could push Helder Postiga to the bench after a disappointing display up front against Germany.

With this being a game where Portugal have to come out and attack, it could be a classic on Wednesday evening. Back Ronaldo and Portugal to edge the Danes in a close encounter.
