Novak Djokovic v Juan Carlos Ferrero as Wimbledon live tennis begins at SW19

Reigning Champion Novak Djokovic begins his 2012 Wimbledon campaign on Monday when he takes on former World No.1 Juan Carlos Ferrero as odds on favourite with Bet365, who also offer free bets and a live stream on every game from SW19 this year.

As a nation comes to terms with England’s agonizing penalty shoot out loss in Euro 2012, Wimbledon has certainly come as a welcome distraction.

This is certainly a mouth watering contest for the opening round at Wimbledon and even though Djokovic is favourite to succeed, Carlos Ferrero can certainly put the man to beat under lots of pressure.

These two have played twice before – winning one match each – but not for five years.

The centre court crowd will certainly be relishing this one as it kicks off the most famous tournament of all.

Bet365 will offer free bets worth £200/€200 to spend on any Wimbledon match, and are live streaming every game online! Watch here – Exclusive to SqueakyBumTime.com

Looking at Djokovic more specifically, he has certainly had a couple of years to remember. Winning four Grand Slam titles since the 2011 Australian Open, he has dominated the men’s game at times and been a joy to watch.

After all, in an era that contains Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, it definitely takes someone special to win as many tournaments as Djokovic has.

At 25-years-old, he has already achieved so much and certainly has the world at his feet.

As for Carlos Ferrero, this is his chance to prove himself all over again. Prior to the draw being made on Friday, not many people were talking about the Spaniard, but now he has the chance to make some headlines.

The 2003 French Open winner – who has made the quarter-finals at SW19 twice before – will hope to rediscover some of his best form and cause a massive upset.

Even if he fails to do that, being competitive with Djokovic would be a decent achievement in itself.

Looking at the odds for this one, Djokovic is the overwhelming favourite at 1/40, while Carlos Ferrero can be backed at 25/1.

It should be a fascinating match though as it gets the 2012 Wimbledon Championships underway.
