Latest Chelsea v Reading Odds suggests Torres to find the net

Football fans are in in for a treat midweek as Chelsea take on Premiership new boys Reading, as Paddy Power, who offer free bets on the game, report all the money is for The blues and Fernando Torres to score first at 4/1.

Chelsea are ruled out of a Premier League weekend later in the month due to their Super Cup commitments on Friday 31st August, so they go up against Reading on Wednesday evening at Stamford Bridge in what is the only game in the top flight during the week.

The Blues will have been delighted with the start to their season as they brushed aside Wigan at the DW Stadium and took a 2-0 victory back to London with them.

Paddy Power will offer free bets worth £250/€250 to spend on any Premiership outright or match betting market this week, including Chelsea v Reading! Exclusive to

In truth, the result was never really in doubt after Roberto Di Matteo’s men had a two goal advantage inside the opening ten minutes.

Eden Hazard really showed what he was made of over the weekend, providing an assist and winning the penalty which Frank Lampard converted. He is being tipped by many to be one of Chelsea’s key men this year.

On Wednesday evening, Di Matteo will want three points and nothing less and he will know that if his side are at their best then they should do just that.

It is a chance for the European Champions to move clear at the top of the table, something which will fill them with confidence – even this early in the season.

As for Reading, they would have been delighted to have got their points tally up and running in the top flight after a 90th minute equaliser against Stoke City.

The Royals can take a great deal from that performance and they showed some fantastic spirit to keep fighting right until the death.

In this encounter, nothing will be expected of them. Brian McDermott can let his side play their natural game with the pressure somewhat off them.

Reading will of course be looking to avoid a heavy defeat and be aware that Chelsea are a side thar are firing on all cylinders at the moment. But, McDermott will send his men out to try and get a result.

It should be a cracking watch.
