El Clásico Team News Barcelona v Real Madrid Odds as Fabregas set to feature

The new football season may only be a couple of weeks old, but Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid meet for the second time in a week tonight as they compete in the second-leg of the Spanish Super Cup.

The first match finished in an entertaining 2-2 draw, so it is all to play for as these two famous clubs look to secure their first piece of silverware for the season.

It may not be as important as the league title or the Champions League, but getting one over your fierce rivals is a great way for both of these clubs to start the new campaign.

As the hosts, Barcelona will be favourites to win the tie and they are set to be boosted by the involvement of new signing Cesc Fabregas. The Spanish midfielder finally completed his move from Arsenal this week and is likely to make his debut this evening.

It is a fantastic way for the 24-year-old to start his second spell at the club and he will be determined to get off to a winning start.

It won’t be easy for the hosts though. Real Madrid are a fantastic team and they appeared to be playing with an increased attacking freedom in the first-leg. Barcelona’s defence will have to be on their toes.

Looking at the team news for the home side, Gerard Pique could start after completing his recovery from a hamstring injury, while Javier Mascherano could be forced to play at centre-back because of Carlos Puyol’s continued injury problems.

As for Madrid, manager Jose Mourinho could name the same team from the first-leg with Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo leading the line and Xabi Alonso pulling the strings in midfield.

Overall, this should be a very entertaining evening with lots of goals expected.
