Queens Park Rangers vs. Newcastle United – QPR to put pressure on Toon

Newcastle United need to win this match in order to secure their Premier League survival against an already relegated QPR side.

The Magpies can secure their Premier League survival at the expense of an already relegate Queen Park Rangers and they can take heart from the fact that they end their eight match losing streak last weak my drawing the game against West Brom.

However, a win at Loftus Road this Saturday, combined with Hull’s failure to beat Tottenham Hotspur, can see Newcastle survive the drop.

The visitors are currently 17th in the table and nothing but a win would be on the mind of the players when they take on the R’s.

Rangers have nothing left to play for but pride as their fate was sealed last week following 6-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City.

It was QPR’s 23rd defeat of the ongoing season and their manager Chris Ramsey, is still without a home win under his belt since taking over from Harry Redknapp.

QPR can call back defender Nedum Onouha after the player served his one game ban. Sandro however, is ineligible to play because of some irregularities with work permit.

Adel Taarabt and Armand Traore have been sidelined by the club after a number of allegations against the pair from the club management and hence they won’t be considered for selection against the Magpies.

Newcastle United will be glad to call back Dutch international, Daryl Janmaat after suspension but Williamson, will be forced to sit out because of him receiving his second red card of the season.

Striker Papiss Cisse has been declared fit and is in contention to start his first game for two months.

Siem de Jong is still a major doubt for the game because of his thigh injury.
