PSG to offer Ibrahimovic as part of Ronaldo deal

Paris Saint-Germain are set to offer Zlatan Ibrahimovich to Real Madrid as part of the deal to take Cristiano Ronaldo to the Ligue 1 club, understands.

Ronaldo has grown frustrated by Madrid president Florentino Perez’s tactics while negotiating a new contract for the player beyond 2015 and the Portugese star may be tempted by PSG’s offer of a four year contract worth around £68million to the player as well as a  £15million signing bonus and a substantial proportion of his image rights.

Ibrahimovic would be happy to link up with Carlo Ancelotti at Los Blancos again and sees a return to Spain with Los Blancos as a good opportunity to get back at Barcelona who he feels mishandled him during his short time there.

Spanish journalist Alfredo Duro has exclusively revealed that PSG have made the offer and Madrid are considering it though it is extremely unlikely to be advanced until everything can be done to attempt to extend Ronaldo’s contract.

The move would be met with extreme dissatisfaction from fans who see Ronaldo as their best chance of securing a 10th European Cup and evidence of their status as the biggest club in the world.

Ronaldo feels undervalued by club officials though and has expressed this during his talks with them over a contract extension while repeatedly stating his love for his time at Manchester United which has lead many to believe he is holding out for a return to the Premier League champions.

United are in no position to match PSG’s spending power at present though and if he was to desire a move back to England, Ronaldo would likely have to hold out until the final year of his Madrid deal.

Ronaldo has publicly stated that he has not agreed any extension with Madrid and has been coy about his future beyond his current contract saying that “English football misses me but my life is in Spain and I am happy in La Liga for the moment.”

The 28 year old Portuguese international’s agent Jorge Mendes met with former Manchester United chief executive David Gill in Madrid before Gill stood down and is known to have been in contact with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Real President Florentino Perez has stated that he expects Ronaldo to end his career at the club but with the player refusing to negotiate at present that appears more like wishful thinking than an advancement in talks.
