In-form Juventus will look to consolidate their position at the top of the Serie A standings when they take on Cagliari this weekend.

Antonio Conte’s men moved 8 points clear at the top of the league thanks to last weekend’s win over Roma and are now odds on favourites to claim a third successive title.

The club have won their last 10 league games on the trot yet their despite their apparent dominance Conte is refusing to rest on his laurels.

Our victory against Roma was a step forward,” Conte said.

“But this is all it is. There is an entire second half of the season to go and we must do well.

“These eight points are important but we cannot get carried away otherwise this could affect our concentration and our desire.

“Anything can happen from here until the end of the campaign.”

Roma will look to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat when they take on Genoa.

Rudi Garcia’s side suffered their first defeat of the season when they crashed 3-0 to the league leaders and despite the absence of suspended trio Leandro Castan, Daniele De Rossi and Adem Ljajic they will be expected to overcome a Genoa side with just one win in their last five.

Should Roma slip up against the Liguria side then they could drop to third with Napoli, who has returned to form in recent weeks, just two points behind taking on Hellas Verona at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.

New signing Keisuke Honda will hope to make an immediate impact when he makes his debut for Milan away to Sassuolo while fourth place Fiorentina face a tricky trip to Turin to face 7th place Torino.
Atalanta will hope to put some space between them and the bottom three when they take on basement side Catania at home.

The action gets underway on Saturday night when Lazio will hope to build on their 1-0 win over Inter Milan last time out when they take on a Bologna side that has picked up just four points from their last 5 games.

Fellow strugglers Livorno have an even worse record over the same period with a draw against Milan their only points on board since the 9th of November. They face a Parma side that whilst unbeaten in 8 has struggled to turn draws into wins sharing the spoils on five occasions.

On Monday, out of sorts Inter Milan with just one win in their last 8 face Chievo with Sampdoria also in action at home to Udinese.
