Roma have won three and drawn one of their last five to sit three points off the top but they face a tricky task against an in-form Genoa side that has climbed to third on the back of a 9 game unbeaten run that includes 6 wins.

While the Eternal City outfit stumbled at the final hurdle midweek, Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus side had no such troubles as they booked their place in the knock out stages with a 0-0 draw with Atletico Madrid.

The Old Lady will play their 5th game in 18 days when they take on fourth place Sampdoria. Like Genoa above them Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side are in good form winning three and drawing three of their last 6 in all competitions.

7th place Milan host 5th Napoli at San Siro with both sides looking to bounce back. Last time out Milan went down 1-0 to Genoa while Rafa Benitez’ side drew 2-2 with Empoli.

Bottom of the table Parma, with just two wins all season, will hope to put the disappointment of a midweek fine and point’s deduction behind them when they face Cagliari.

Roberto Donadoni’s men suffered a one-point deduction and €5,000 fine on Tuesday after missing tax payments and failing to pay the wages of players and staff. The club also had President Tommaso Ghirardi and CEO Pietro Leonardi banned from club-related activity for two months.

A win over a Cagliari side two places and 6 points ahead of them in the table would be the perfect response for the out-of-form side.

Udinese face Verona and Cesena host Fiorentina in Saturday’s other games while the action gets underway on Friday when Lazio take on Atalanta and Sassuolo travel to Palermo.

On Monday Inter are away to Chievo while fourth from bottom Torino take on a Chievo side one place and a point ahead of them.
