Chelsea v Swansea Live Stream, Team News and Match odds

Chelsea will begin the defence of their title when they take on Swansea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

It has been a quiet summer for Jose Mourinho and his side with outgoing and in-comings limited. The consistency will help the club as they look to become the first side in 7 years to retain the title.

Didier Drogba has left the club with Radamel Falcao replacing him. The Colombian endured a difficult spell at Old Trafford last season and will be keen to show he is still one of the world’s deadliest strikers.

Falcao will have to bide his time however with Loic Remy set to be giving the opportunity to stand in for the injured Diego Costa. Remy will be supported by Willian, Eden Hazard and Oscar as Mourinho sticks very much to the side that finished the season last May.

Swansea meanwhile enjoyed a superb campaign under the guidance of Garry Monk and it will be a case of as you were this season.

The club have strengthened with the captures of Andre Ayew and left back Franck Tabanou with both set to feature. Last season the Swans surprised Manchester United on the opening day of the season and they will hope to spring another upset.

Bafetimbi Gomis will lead the line after showing good form in the second half of the season following the sale of Winfried Bony while former Marseille forward Ayew will provide support alongside Nathan Dyer and Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Chelsea were comfortable 5-0 winners when they last meet in the league and also won on their home patch last September. The focus on tweaking rather than overhaul will ensure that Mourinho’s men are prepared for the opening day and they should get off to a winning start.
