According to reports in Brazilian and English media, reigning English champions, Chelsea have acquired the services of Brazilian striker, Kennedy from Brasileiro outfit, Fluminense. The report was also confirmed in a statement by the Brazilian club.
The teenage striker is considered to be one of the hottest properties in world football at the moment and had been scouted by the Blues extensively in the last few minutes. And after being impressed by his performances last season, Mourinho has moved swiftly to acquire a player who could become a lethal striker in Europe if groomed right.
The youngster was supposed to represent Brazil at the Under 20 world cup but was unable to do so after suffering from appendicitis.
The youngster is now set to join Ramires, Felipe Luis, Oscar, Willian and Diego Costa as the latest Brazilian born player in the Chelsea squad and would be looking to adapt to English football as quickly as possible.
