Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger claims that the Blues are favorites to clinch the Premier League trophy but insists that the north Londoners are ready to push them all the way.
Speaking to English media today, the Gunners boss expressed that Mourinho’s men are favourites to retain their Premier League crown, and called his men to make a solid start to the new season to ensure they are in a position to push Chelsea all the way.
He told reporters: “Chelsea won it by a margin last year so they must be favourites.
“We are ready to fight for the championship. We missed our start to the season last year, let’s try to start strong. But we have a difficult start with two derbies and Liverpool in our first three games.
“We enjoy [the pressure of being talked of as title winners]. Before, no one talked about us like that! We’re past that period.”
The 65-year-old Arsene Wenger will kick off his 20th season with Arsenal when the Gunners host the Hammers on Sunday.
