The run of poor form has left Jackett struggling for sleep although the former Millwall manager is determined to overcome the worst patch he has endured since taking over 18 months ago.
“Certainly over the last few weeks, picking different combinations, working hard at trying to see where we went wrong.” Jackett told the Birmingham Mail when asked if the club’s run of defeats was playing havoc with his sleeping patterns.
“We’ve had similar conversations in the last few weeks and then still come out with the same results.
“Re-identifying, was that decision right? Was it this one? Where do we need to do better to go forward?
“What are the key aspects that are going to get us a win in this division? Those are the things that have been going through my mind.
“Do they go through your mind all night? They definitely do, yes.
“I am experienced enough to know that getting this week right and, most importantly, getting the setup, the attitude, the ability and the focus of the players ready for Saturday is the only thing that I can affect.”
Jackett will once again be without striker Nouha Dicko and Ethan Ebanks-Landell (hamstring) as they struggle with hamstring injuries however Jack Price has been recalled from his loan at Leyton Orient and could feature.
Bournemouth, fourth in the table, two points off the top, have won two and drawn three of their last five.
The Cherries are sweating on the fitness of top scorer Callum Wilson (hamstring) with Brett Pitman his likely replacement.
