Manchester City will crisscross the United States next July for a four match pre season schedule spanning Los Angeles Chicago Charlotte and Miami. The campaign branded CityInTheStates kicks off on 17 July against MLS champions Los Angeles FC at the Rose Bowl followed by a 21 July meeting with Club America at Soldier Field. The touring party then heads east to face Inter Miami on 24 July before finishing with a glamour tie versus Bayern Munich at Hard Rock Stadium on 28 July. Director of football operations Omar Berrada said the itinerary balances commercial priorities with top tier preparation noting each opponent presents a distinct tactical test.

City will use UCLA’s performance labs for heat acclimation and plan to integrate new signings during double session blocks scheduled between travel days. Fan engagement includes a Santa Monica festival featuring meet and greets esports contests and an Oasis tribute concert while Etihad Airways will operate charter flights and plant one tree per travelling supporter through the Arbor Day Foundation. All fixtures will stream on City Plus with negotiations under way for ESPN distribution. Pre sale tickets for Cityzens open on 12 May with general sale two days later.

Guardiola welcomed the tour’s structure emphasising that reduced air miles compared to last year’s Asian swing should lower injury risk heading into the Community Shield.
