Alan Carr and Nick Mohammed have emerged as early head turners in the leaked line up for Celebrity Traitors UK, the first star studded edition of the BBC reality juggernaut. Both comics were spotted arriving at Inverness Airport before filming began at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands.
Carr, famed for razor sharp crowd work, is expected to lean into charm and misdirection, while Mohammed, best known as the earnest Nate from Ted Lasso, promises low key observation and an encyclopaedic memory for tiny tells. Producers privately admit that pitting two quick witted performers against a wider cast of broadcasters and Olympians could super charge the game’s strategy rooms.
The celebrity spin off keeps the core format: contestants complete missions to raise a potential prize fund of one hundred twenty thousand pounds, then vote nightly to banish suspected traitors while trying to avoid secret murders after dark. Claudia Winkleman returns as host, and filming will wrap in early summer for an autumn broadcast.
Carr recently joked on his podcast that he has “no poker face whatsoever” and may need extra hair fringe to hide nervous eyebrows, giving fans an early clue about self deprecating tactics. Mohammed was more guarded, telling reporters at Heathrow only that he has “watched every series twice.”
Online forums erupted once the names surfaced. Reddit users predict an alliance of comics, while TikTok montages already imagine Carr unleashing forensic interrogations in the turret library.
